As we are a community, we do not engage in activities that hinder the process of community building. When people have access to recorded events, they often use that access as a reason to avoid live participation. While we understand that not everyone is comfortable participating live, we never expect anyone to speak/participate at any of our events - showing up and listening in is all it takes to participate. Because we want to build connections, this is a policy that will likely never change. We do understand that because we are an international community, it is impossible for all of our members to attend all of our events. For that reason, we offer members the opportunity to propose and schedule their own events - ones that will become officially sponsored by and advertised for by the LW community.
